The first name of the bank when registered is Kanayannur Co-operative Land Mortgage Bank E 326 with area of operation as Kanayannur Taluk, Kochi Taluk. Bank affiliated to Kerala State Coperative Agricultural and Rural Development Bank on  9-8-1975. The name of bank changed in to The Kanayannur Co-operative Agricultural and Rural Development Bank E 326 on 20-08-1993.

On 31-01-2020, name of bank changed into Kanayannur Taluk Cooperative Agricultural & Rural Development Bank Ltd No: E 326 clouse (2) of section 12 of Kerala Co-operative Society Act 21 of 1969 vide order no: 0/1/2020.
